Netra & Mark Ellman in Mala kitchen
A community-owned quadruple bottom line bank, that focused on: financial profit, social equity, environmental sustainability and cultural inclusion would turn the economy around. We do not need to make the choice between taking care of each other and the earth, and building a healthy economy. The business model of, “make the most money, the quickest” has put our country in the financial hole that it is in.
Unified Field Bank is working to create a new model in banking. I am in communication with UFB’s founders: hopefully they will be partnering to open a community owned bank here on Maui soon.
